From the Torch Form series. Sixteen untreated sapphires — royal blue, teal, light blue, mint green, icy steel blue — scattered across a reticulated sterling silver saddle band alongside three cognac and champagne diamonds and two brilliant white diamonds. Each stone is individually set in either pure platinum or 22 karat gold before being fused onto the band. The result is a surface that reads as complex without being busy: noble metals in high contrast, color shifting across the composition the way light shifts across water.
Reticulation is a fire technique — the surface texture is created by repeatedly heating the silver until the outer layer develops its own topography. No two come out the same. This one is particular to itself.
Currently size 7.5, adjustable within reason. Can be finished with a darker patina.
