JEWELRY MADE TO BE WORN
Indulge in a masterpiece of Nevada’s legendary gemstone. Unparalleled elegance presents itself with this hand-forged solitaire ring, designed for discerning collectors of high-end art jewelry. Drawing from the raw beauty of the American Southwest, this unique piece celebrates the artistry of nature and human craftsmanship, perfect for those who seek heirloom quality treasures that tell a story of rarity and refinement.
At the heart of this ring is an untreated cabochon cut turquoise from the storied Number 8 Mine in Nevada’s Eureka County - a deposit discovered in 1929 by prospectors Earl Buffington and Lawrence Springer, and active only through the mid 20th century. This old stock gem, sourced from pre 1950’s reserves, showcases the mine’s iconic spiderweb matrix: intricate veins of golden-brown limonite weaving through a vibrant sky-blue turquoise. Renowned for its exceptional hardness and natural stability (no enhancements or stabilizations here), Number 8 turquoise is increasingly rare, with the mine long depleted and further extraction prohibited. This stones deep historical value and finite supply make it a coveted gem among connoisseurs, often fetching premium status in elite collections.
The turquoise is bezel set in warm 22 karat gold, creating a luminous halo that accentuates its organic veining. The base and band, forged from sleek platinum for enduring strength and comfort, features subtle side accents of brilliant white diamonds that add a touch of scintillation without overpowering the stone’s natural allure.
Every element is handcrafted in our small mountain atelier, ensuring attention to detail - from the hammered and satin brush finish on the platinum band to the seamless integration of noble metals that blend modern minimalism with timeless Southwestern spirit.
This ring is more than just jewelry; it’s a wearable artifact for collectors who appreciate the intersection of geology, history, and art. Ideal for stacking with other unique pieces or worn solo as a statement of sophisticated individuality.

This ring is centered on an exceptional rubellite cabochon chosen for its depth of color and internal glow, qualities prized by collectors of fine colored gemstones. The stone is set in a substantial 22k gold bezel, a traditional choice that enhances saturation and speaks to classical goldsmithing practices. An 18k gold base and band provide structural balance, finished with a brushed surface that softens the metal’s brilliance and allows the gem to remain the focal point.
The cabochon cut emphasizes the rubellite’s natural character rather than precision faceting, offering a quiet, tactile elegance that feels timeless and intentional. Every element of this ring is hand executed, resulting in subtle variations that distinguish it as a singular work rather than a production piece.
Designed for those who value material integrity, refined design, and enduring craftsmanship. A ring that stands as a wearable artifact - meant to be lived with, collected, and ultimately passed on.
